Comprehensive Exam
The comprehensive exam is essential for therapy initiation. During the detailed 75 - 90 min exam, individual concerns are addressed and a full evaluation of the orofacial dysfunction is assessed. Photographs, measurements and other individualized assessments are taken. The exam allows for a detailed, customized treatment plan to be developed outlining the goals of therapy.
Pre and Post Frenectomy Therapy
The release of a tongue tie involves pre and post procedure exercises. Generally exercises are initiated 4-6 weeks before the frenectomy and follow up with post-procedure exercises to build awareness of the new function.
Buteyko Breathing
Buteyko Breathing Technique (BBT) is a breathing re-education and life style management program to reduce disordered breathing so the breathing pattern becomes more efficient. Techniques to clear the nose, manage symptoms and reduce unnecessary coughing are also included.
A program is typically consists of six sessions. Through the program there is an expectation of spending 20 min 2-3 times per day on daily practice. Aiming to reset your breathing, balance your nervous system, and improve sleep, energy and clarity.
Therapy Program
Each client has an individualized therapy plan addressing personal concerns. Programs guide patients through the four phases of therapy 1. Awareness and habit elimination. 2. Neuromuscular re-education. 3. Generalization and reinforcement. 4. Retention and maintenance.
Sessions are held bi-weekly during the first two phases of therapy and eventually spaced out in the third Phase. Exercises are expected to be practiced two times a day, (most exercises will only take a few minutes). Therapy programs typically last between 8-12 sessions, but ultimately, the number of sessions needed is determined by the rate of personal progress.

The free phone assessment typically lasts for 30 minutes and will allow you to gain insight on muscle dysfunction, related symptoms, average cost of therapy, session frequency, and scheduling.
